Granade is a Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent peer review rated health care attorney focusing his practice on data privacy and security.  Mr. Granade primarily advises national health care corporations in connection with data breaches, compliance with federal and state privacy and security laws and regulations, and negotiating contracts with vendors, including information security agreements and business associate agreements. Mr. Granade’s fifteen years as a civil trial lawyer and prosecutor for the State of Georgia enhances his ability to respond to, investigate and defend data breach claims by the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Civil Rights and state Attorneys General.

In 2013, Mr. Granade was appointed as one of the first two judges for the Municipal Court of Brookhaven where he hears criminal, traffic, and ordinance cases on a part-time basis. Prior to joining his sister-in-law, Phyllis Granade, at the Granade Law Firm, Mr. Granade was a shareholder in the litigation boutique Gilson Athans, P.C., where he represented businesses and individuals in commercial and business litigation, insurance defense and coverage cases, breach of contract claims, and health care law.  Mr. Granade began his legal career as a judicial law clerk and then as an assistant district attorney.  Mr. Granade is married with two children.
